Latest Reviews

The Peak Lines team took our mixed ability group to Stanage Edge where we learned the basics of lead climbing, belaying and abseiling. Dominika's instruction was easy-going, but thorough and we felt like we were in great hands. The whole group had a go at several different routes of varying difficulty. Highly recommended.

Peak District Stag and Hen Do Rock Climbing and Abseiling Locations

The Peak District covers the area in 5 counties and we run our Stag and Hen Rock Climbing and Abseiling in Derbyshire, Yorkshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire, and Greater Manchester.

Our Rock Climbing and Abseiling Stag and Hen dos are often run at venues which double up as Peak District attractions.

We are firm believers that part of what makes this experience special is the location and so we tried and tested some of what we think are best areas in the Peak District.

When we deciding on location we take into account where you are staying, your climbing experience, goals and of course the weather. Some locations get busier than others during bank holidays so we tend to plan around it too. If you have a preference, let us know!

  • Stanage Edge

Rock Climbing and Abseiling at Stanage Edge is one of the top things to do in Derbyshire. It is suitable for larger groups and the walk is around 10 minutes long . It is easily accesible with plenty of parking so it is our favourite location for our Peak District Hen and Stag activities.

  • Harborough Rocks

Harboro Rocks is a great venue if you are looking for things to do in Matlock or Bakewell. It is a small limestone crag with interesting rock formations and features. The routes are fairly short and the walk is around 5-10 minutes which makes it a great place for Peak District Stag and Hen rock climbing and abseiling. It is a popular area with walkers and families so we tend to not use this venue during busy Bank Holidays.

  • Burbage

With less than 5 minutes to walk to the area, Burbage makes an easily accessible venue for Peak District Hen and Stag Rock Climbing and Abseiling. It is suitable for bigger groups as has good amount of parking. We love running our climbing and abseiling here as the views over Burbage valley are stunning and you can pack in a lot in just half day at this location.

  • The Roaches

The Roaches are one of the main Peak District attractions so organising your Peak District Stag or Hen do here will go down well even with the most picky of your friends. Located in Stafforshire close to Leek, this is a great venue suitable for both small or larger groups.
